Lego Dimensions on Switch: The 9 Best Options, Ranked by Real Buyer Feedback

This bundle earns its ranking primarily for keeping older Sony hardware relevant to toy-to-life enthusiasts. You get a brand new starter kit featuring the portal pad and essential minifigures right out of the box.

I think it is a smart pickup if your classic console still sits proudly under the living room television.

Older hardware fans who refuse to let their trusty Microsoft console gather dust will find this edition fits their exact setup. You receive a factory sealed box equipped with the portal pad and all necessary connection cables.

In my view, keeping seventh-generation systems active is great for preservation, though you will want to verify your specific console model before purchasing.

An unexpected feature of this expansion is how it injects an entirely self-contained mission into the broader campaign, rather than just tossing in a silent minifigure. You get Peter Venkman alongside the Ecto-1 and a Ghost Trap to solve puzzles across paranormal maps.

I would rank this near the top for fans of classic cinema because the standalone level adds genuine replay value.

The most common buyer complaint regarding this Microsoft edition involves system-specific security chips, meaning you cannot mix and match console portals casually. You still get a complete starter kit with the gateway pad and three iconic heroes to kick off the multi-franchise campaign.

I tend to view this version as a solid entertainment hub addition, provided you double-check your console generation compatibility beforehand.

When you compare this directly to the Xbox One version above, the Sony equivalent generally edges it out in terms of widespread collector availability and steady pricing. You receive a factory fresh box containing the game disc, portal pad, and foundational character figures.

In my assessment, this stands as the ultimate top pick for anyone modernizing their toy-to-life collection today.

This expansion pack gained widespread popularity due to the breakout cinematic success of its source material, though I think the real value lies in unlocking basic building abilities early. You unlock Emmet and his trusty excavator vehicle to help clear out stubborn physical barriers in the digital world.

I find these smaller fun packs essential for rounding out your roster without breaking the bank.

This set earns its strong placement through sheer versatility, offering a three-in-one vehicle that completely changes your tactical options in the field. You secure Excalibur Batman and a Bionic Steed that rebuilds into a Bat-Raptor or Ultrabat.

I consider this an essential pickup because the extra flight and sword-switching abilities solve several frustrating late-game puzzles.

Super hero teams looking for cooperative split-screen action will find this pairing of Wonder Woman and Cyborg hits the right nostalgic notes. You get two iconic Justice League members alongside a couple of customizable crime-fighting vehicles.

In my opinion, team packs offer the best cost-to-content ratio because you get double the character abilities right away.

An unexpectedly charming feature of this expansion is the inclusion of the iconic glowing finger ability, which interacts directly with specific game mechanics. You add the lovable alien and his glowing communicator device to your chaotic crossover squad.

I would point nostalgic sci-fi fans toward this pack because the flying bicycle mechanics bring a genuine smile to your face.
