Minelab Vanquish 340: The 8 Best Options, Ranked by Real Buyer Feedback

This bundle earned its ranking primarily because it pairs the reliable detector with a Profind 15 pinpointer. Having that extra tool right out of the box saves you from hunting blind in the dirt.

I find this combination is ideal for anyone who wants a complete beginner kit without buying pieces separately. But remember that the 15 model is a basic pinpointer, so you miss out on the advanced tone adjustments found in higher editions.

This machine is best suited for weekend hobbyists who want a fully waterproof build right away. You get a dependable 10-inch Double-D coil that handles varied soil types with ease.

I think the upgrade in waterproofing makes this a smart choice for shoreline hunters. In my view, the lack of bundled accessories means you will need to buy a separate pinpointer and digging tool.

The inclusion of a large padded carry bag is an unexpectedly helpful touch for keeping your trunk organized. From there, the kit expands into a classic three-mode detector designed for coins, jewelry, and relics.

I consider this bag a great addition for anyone who travels to different parks or historical sites. My only hesitation is that it leaves out a pinpointer, which means extra purchases down the road.

The most common complaint about basic starter bundles is the lack of a top-tier locating probe, which this package solves by including the Pro-Find 35. That addition gives you ferrous tone identification to help trash-talk your targets before you dig.

I would rank this option high for anyone who hates spending too much time scraping dirt. But you do pay a bit more for that upgraded probe, so check your budget before committing.

Comparing this model to the basic 340 reveals a clear step up in power and reach. You get a larger 12-inch coil along with wired headphones to help you pick out faint signals in loud environments.

I view this as the right pick for hunters who want maximum depth in open fields. Just keep in mind that the bigger coil can feel slightly heavier on your arm after a long afternoon.

This model earned its reputation as the sweet spot detector for bridging the gap between beginner simplicity and advanced control. That stellar reputation holds up well because you get a customizable user profile alongside the standard multi-frequency tech.

I think this sits comfortably as a middle ground for dedicated hobbyists. My main critique is that you still need to source your own digging gear if you buy this specific box.

This configuration earned the top spot because it bundles the Pro-Find 35 pinpointer and a carry bag together with the core detector. That combination gives you everything necessary for a successful first hunt without forcing extra shopping trips.

I would point most beginners right to this package for its exceptional overall value. The only minor drawback is that high demand occasionally causes supply fluctuations for this specific bundle.

This complete setup is best for the gear-focused enthusiast who wants digging tools and finds pouches included from the start. You get the capable PRO-FIND 35 pinpointer bundled right alongside a rugged finds pouch and protective gloves.

I appreciate how thorough this kit is for anyone starting completely from scratch. But remember that you are paying for every single extra accessory, which drives the initial price upward.
